@Kloi I also feel like once she realized she couldn’t have children she no longer needed a guy who had his act together because children are out of the equation. And in going back to her ex she’s experiencing a “reversion to the mean.” For whatever reason she just likes losers.

@Kloi it’s interesting because talking to friends they went to high school with they said he’s always been a loser, or at best, a loser with dork like qualities that made him likable. One said first dates for him was often inviting girls over to his house and they’d watch him play video games. My ex wife has a long history of dating such guys. For example, the guy she dated before me was an alcoholic who had a suspended license. He showed up on their first date riding a liquor-cycle. I was probably the first guy she ever dated that had his shit together.

@Dr_Cockasaurus Our sex life had recently kinda got all over the place. It could fluctuate from red hot to boring. A lot of that was heavily due to medical issues and surgeries she was having related to her infertility, and a broken leg I also suffered.

Hi

Newbie to the RedPill. I was married for 8 years when my wife suddenly left me for her twice ex boyfriend. I’m trying to understand this in light of the teaching on hypergamy.

Me: I’m a 39 year old man. 5’11. Dad bod. Average looks. 6 figure income. We lived in a half million dollar home. Successful hard working professional. Great cook. Helps around the house. Great relationship with in-laws. I’m a leader in the community. Virtuous, good reputation, completely dedicated to my marriage.

Her twice ex boyfriend: 41 years old. They dated in high school and after college. They last broke up because he was a loser that was stealing from her. Dude is 150 lbs overweight. He lives with his mom in her basement. He’s unemployed. He plays video games on Twitch all day and pretends he’s a pro gamer. He’s ugly and looks like Uncle Fester. He’s got a crooked smile because of his rotten teeth from 10 years of drug abuse.

Why would my wife leave me for this loser? She didn’t trade up, she traded down. Does hypergamy explain this? Or is this just a “bitches me crazy” sorta deal?

(Side note: we didn’t have kids, my wife recently found out after 6 years of trying she couldn’t have them)

Thanks

Jimmy
