"Killing your ego" to experience "permanent bliss" by avoiding any and all desire is cope for not being able to change your condition and situation (or thinking that you cant do so) and being unable to reconcile your child-like views of the world with reality. "Boo hoo the good is only a temporary feeling, boo hoo i fail in my endeavours sometimes, boo hoo". The external tempers the internal. Never the other way around. This internal struggle is moot. External struggle changes you as well as your situation.
