I guess morality is not a feature of western "uncivilization". Outside of their little bubble of rationalizations, they don't realize what they look like to others.

When cortez and his 500 Spanish troops wiped out Montezuma and the Aztecs, it was remarkably easy to recruit the opposing tribes as well because they hated the Aztecs that badly for the sheer barbarism they engaged in
The pilgrams and white settlers were far less barbaric and actually brought technology and innovation to the continent
