I'm relieved that I don't have to potentially deal with the drama and shit that would've come from trying to form a connection with a woman like that. I've also learned a valuable lesson.
Your pet bunny thanks you.

Quick field reissuesWent one two dates with a girl, and we had a lot in common. Both liked the same books, ect. The only catch was this girl had SEVERE anxiety and depression. You could tell by her body language alone, but she also made reference to it a couple times in conversation which confirmed my suspicions.
This immediately made me nervous, because while I wanted to get laid I also didn't want to ruin this chicks life or something. I got more nervous and less physical in my interactions. As I did this, she further withdrew in her body language. The conversation was great/intellectual but not sexual at all because the signals I was getting clearly said that wasn't safe territory.
The day after date 2, she texted me that she wasn't interested which honestly was a relief. However, it also made a very important point in my mind - even with a girl who's life is a wreck of anxiety, depression, weird hang ups and cultural repression of sexual instincts wants to feel the mythical "tingles". I let her set the frame of the interaction by tiptoing around her issues, instead of being bold and intentional.
I'm relieved that I don't have to potentially deal with the drama and shit that would've come from trying to form a connection with a woman like that. I've also learned a valuable lesson.

@Lionsmane8 This is absolutely true. I have one that is constantly trying to upgrade her position despite me being clear that I'm not interested in anything but her butt.
It isn't that she thinks she can upgrade, but she's constantly testing to see if I cave.

@Intrepid_Place53900 NEVER EVER offer commitment to a woman who isn't exactly what you want.
Once she gets the commitment, she isn't going to get better or change in any way that inconveniences her.

You can't "fix" anyone.
That's exactly what he was saying when he said:
As men, we like to fix things. Sometimes we're inclined to fix a broken woman too.
This is a costly mistake.

@Loneliness-inc You can't "fix" anyone. Also, what you see at first in a relationship, is usually her best. If it's not great, think about that. It don't get better.

just to add, I was an athlete also, but wasn't gonna go pro, so I focused on academics for college. My plan was to get an engineering degree, which I did. college was not expensive way back when I went, it was before the govt started guaranteeing student loans which then caused the costs to explode.

@johnjim424 your whole thread is about sports and how you always dont' get what you want. If you go to college, go for academics, do you have the grades? Are you smart? If not, don't go, learn a trade.
Haven't talked at all about that, so what were you going to major in ? Poly Sci? Ya, that will get you a good job, sarc.
Figure out what you like, what you are good at, and lastly, what you can make a living at. Focus on that. So, is that college or a trade? Can you pay off college on that salary in a few years? Can you get jobs easy (growth) area? That's what you need to look at.
Make a plan, you don't go to college or post high school without a plan. Kids today are just wandering trying to figure it out, while paying $30k+ per year in tuition and such. Dumb.
Make a plan, then figure out what you need to accomplish it.

@oddReference32 I wouldn't even say that. I have a degree that the red pill world would deem "useless" but I also did ROTC and - like I said - didn't fuck around.
To be fair, I've always been very good at goal setting and forming a plan to get there.
