We have this dumb shit in the UK and it drive me mad.
The bleeding hearts have imported this "our country was built by immigrants" line from the US, which in the context of Britain, is objectively retarded.
UK has had remarkably little immigration over it's entire history. Most Brits can trace back their lineage hundreds of years. Yet these people will point to the Norman conquest of 1066, as if a military invasion 1,000 years ago is some kind of gotcha.
But the funny thing is, that this only applies to English people. When it comes to the Welsh, the Scottish or the Irish - they rank higher in the oppression olympics, so they get special treatment.
Last week there some Welsh nationalists were arguing that, if we have protection for historic landscapes, historic buildings and biodiversity, then surely they should get protection so that their Welsh speaking villages don't get overrun and their historic culture erased.
There was an absolute meltdown from the NPCs which ended up in just spluttering and rambling.
They were trying to square the circle that Welsh people are a native ethnic group who need protection from the big bad English, while also simultaneously arguing that they're not and "diversity is our strength".
