What's something that everybody thinks they know, but is actually wrong? Here's a place to red pill the masses on anything and everything. Bonus points if you link to a tribe about your findings.
Examples:
Low Fat scandal is being pushed by big sugar.
Global Warming scam exists to buy beachfront property at a discount.
Flat earthers don't really believe the earth is flat, they're trying to hurt the reputation of all conspiracy theories.
@lurkerhasarisen you know, since leftists and statists have used "1984" and "Brave New World" as how-to guides rather than as warnings, maybe we can do the same with "The Handmaid's Tale".
If feminists hate and fear it this much, it has to be pretty good....
I’ve lived in places where women wear burkas, and I’ve seen Amish and Mennonite chicks in their traditional garb, too. I gotta’ say, though, the Handmaiden uniform is kinda’ hot.
@carnold03 I prefer the previous, original version in which she wears the costume from "The Handmaid's Tale".
Maybe some fashion designer could start a trend for brides to wear that instead of those gawdawful costumes so many women wear now.
My wife and I went to a wedding at our church yesterday. The bride was the pastor’s daughter, so he was wearing multiple hats: he did the usual pre-ceremony announcements, then walked to the back so he could walk the bride down the aisle, then he went up onto the podium to officiate. Then he came back down to walk with his wife as the parents-of-the-bride in the processional. (Obviously he skipped the traditional line, “Who gives this woman to be married to this man?“, although it would have been funny.)
My wife was among several women who noted that her gown was very modest and understated. That’s refreshing because the gym isn’t the only place a lot of women dress like whores. (h/t to Shane Gillis)
It was a little unusual in that they deviated from the sequence of events laid out in the “Book of Common Prayer” that has been in use for centuries, but the deviations were stylistic rather than substantive. What stuck out was that he actually delivered a short sermon about the vows rather than just reciting them. He turned to the groom and spelled out his obligations as the husband in Christian matrimony, including the requirement to lead his wife. Then he turned to her and spelled out her obligations, specifically including her duty to follow and obey her husband.
Then we had cake. I warned my niece about that, though: I told her that wedding cake causes women to put on twenty pounds. Then my wife said the line about how a women eating wedding cake is like pulling the ripcord on an inflatable raft.

@carnold03 that must be a new favorite meme format, like the "I'm literally the guy in the photo". I grabbed this screenshot off YouTube like a week ago and forgot to post it here.
