What's something that everybody thinks they know, but is actually wrong? Here's a place to red pill the masses on anything and everything. Bonus points if you link to a tribe about your findings.
Honestly, anything more would be superfluous to the meaning.
Without intending to, I found myself tripping around the peak of spring when life returns after winter. I explore my own dormant psyche and implement my interpretations as a reinvigoration of spirit for the summer season.
I’m buttressing this with reading relevant literature this year for further insights on the experience. My next trip is actually due in a week or two, psilocybin this time, after a 6-7 year hiatus.
‘All meditations are the same, so why bother after the first one?’
I can not accurately describe, nor put into words anything to sufficiently convey the substance of what I take away from trips.
I have seen the construct of my ego, and that in its own right it is beautiful and I have seen the sun in the same light... or perhaps that is vice versa.... look, I’m not going to give you multiple trip reports because this isn’t the place or audience for that, in my original essay I explain how each trip is monumentally different based on various factors like dose, time, mood, setting etc.
I trip once a year, on a different substance, in a different place and at a different time. If you don’t think that makes me privy to ‘something else’, I assure you, I’m not the one missing out.Read More
‘Heroic dose’ is just the term used, coined my Terrence McKenna. That’s some serious pedantry.
‘A similar state’, not the exact state with the exact imagery. Again, you’re being a pedant.
You’re also gatekeeping spiritual experiences behind some kind of ‘purity’... which is just wrong.
An NDE is N, N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT). DMT is a guaranteed method to kill the ego, which feels like death to our material bound selves. NDE, by definition is the same prospect of our mortal coils about to end. Fortunately, with DMT you will assuredly see what is beyond the veil.
Higher doses of LSD and Mushrooms have reportedly come close to DMT states, but these are fundamentally different states in themselves and can hardly be likened to NDE or DMT on an average ‘trip’.
Have a read of the studies, they obviously will only convey the black and white of the results and not really clue into the experiences but as much as data can collate on what is happening... well, it’s right there!
Unfortunately, using traditional language makes it incomprehensibly impossible to convey even the remotest idea of what these substances open your mind to. It isn’t either super-sensory or transcendence. It is both without question.
The argument I make that they aren’t drugs but plants isn’t rooted in a materialistic notion. It is that these plants are of our planet, nature, experience and there is undoubted connection upon consumption. Religious and spiritual imagery comes to you without prior influence. You communicate with something without words, you see yourself laid bare.
These are all words, and utterly meaningless in the face of men who have repeated unfounded propaganda (Birth defects? Brain damage?!) and proven they will swallow further cultural lies if it confirms their own egoic biases.
There is a whole spectrum of unexplored conscious potential, with more and more studies backing up benefits back in the material realm. I’m there for it.Read More
