I agree, the microwave pop corn is is meant to be very unhealthy. I wonder if the bag has fire retardant in or something? One also isn't sure what fats they have used. The bag isn't too big either.
My kids like to make a decent amount up, so I end up buying a few lbs of corn at a time. Its much cheaper than the microwave bags. A big pan on the stove hardly takes any longer and you can make as much as you like with whatever fat you like.
@First-light At my work there's a verboten policy on microwave popcorn and I guess this is why. It's that dangerous. I read that the bags the microwave popcorn come in have a lot of chemicals so considering going the jar route and just popping them in a pot.
