I can say how much more fresh I wake up every morning now.
I got put on CPAP in either 2013 or 2014 (I forget which, but I think 2014). I feel better rested after 4 hours on it than I do after 8 hours without it.
I wish I had gotten tested while still on Active Duty.

Yes, very true. I wish I'd gotten tested sooner. When I was on Active Duty and still in great shape, my blood pressure was high enough to raise concerns and have the medical people consistently threatening to put me on medication. I got on CPAP, and even though I was letting myself go (and getting fat, I'll admit), my blood pressure went down.
I probably would have had a heart attack before 40 had I never gotten on CPAP.

My living quarters were downwind from a massive burn pit. The trash burned there included plastics and other shit that produces toxic fumes. I spent a year breathing that shit.
My sinuses have been fucked up ever since, and have caused other health problems including IBS (swallowing the excess snot in my sleep) as well as the sleep apnea.

1) I actually got laughed at when I expressed concern at inhaling so much smoke on all 3 tours.
2) masks and filters wouldn't protect against smoke anyway. That's why firefighters wear SCBA, and you can't be wearing that shit 24/7.

Its middle class professional women who set these standards and they are bullshit for everyone else. Two middle class professionals, sharing child care (so as not to spoil her precious career) are in a position where the man can "step up" (I practically choke writing those words) and do his bit with educating the children. But if he is keeping the roof over everyone's heads, he is doing his bit. He can't be expected to do everything else too.
You did fine. You got your daughter over your finish line which was her start line. No endurance race ever goes textbook to plan. You cope and you finish. Now its her turn and you can support but don't think you did badly. No one ever gets it all right. Life is too big for one person to get right.

It's only logical.
You can't be determining her price on your own, that would be illogical and male.
Also, her two kids are an extension of herself. They factor into the price and you don't have a say.
If things turn bad in a LTR or marriage, you can't always suppose that it's the woman's fault.
At some point you have to ask yourself whether you are the asshole too.
