China is large enough to be self sustainable. But instead of waging wars they flooded all developed world to get know how, by people that mostly will have to return back home if they don't want to see their familly disappear. They got the world addicted to their stuff and workforce. Brilliant move.
Russia could do the same. But they have nukes and dont really care to take over the world economically. As long as oligarch have enough. Old way thinking as anti missile systems might get them vulnerable at some point.
