Now that has to be incredibly annoying.
Honestly it's incredibly frustrating.
For whatever reason, the media get an absolute hard on for anything that happens in the states.
The Charlie Kirk shooting is a prime example. Very tragic situation and the video is absolutely horrific. But from the UK perspective, hardly anyone knew who Charlie Kirk was prior to this.
But, United States. So it gets wall to wall media coverage.
We had a sitting member of parliament have their office burned down, yet that barely even got a mention in the media.
We have an ongoing political scandal with Peter Mandaelson, ambassador to the US, who had strong links to Jeffery Epstein. Scandal potentially could take down the prime minster, as it's looking increasingly likely that he was aware of the depth of his relationship with Epstein, yet promoted him to the post anyway.
And yet all anyone can talk about is Charlie Kirk, left/right divisions, "America should abolish the 2nd amendement" yada yada yada. It's absolute mindless drivel.

Like everyone, I have been thinking of Charlie. I wasnt deeply familiar with him but he would pop on podcasts I listen to often and I always found him likable and he made sense.
Thinking about the countrys long history of political assasinations puts something in perspective for me. Usually the killed messenger, however charismatic, was riding a wave underneath him. MLK didnt dream up civil rights and Trump didnt create MAGA. These movements were underway and someone with skill and luck became the face.
Now to my point. Murder isnt done by the winners. Its not even done when its still a close game. Assasinations often are the losing side flailing and ironically they push their ideologys demise forward by a magnitude of years.
arguing over domestic US politics that have absolutely no bearing or relevance here.
Now that has to be incredibly annoying.
I barely care what other states do internally, as long as it doesn't affect me and isn't absolutely ridiculous (eg Maine suddenly requiring the compulsory serving of asparagus at breakfast).
@woodsmoke doesn't happen to me
Must be a PEBCAK error
@redpillschool use these vcards to help fund the servers and mainframes and to clean up your act
@woodsmoke I'm not experiencing this as of right now, can you check if it's resolved
@First-light I know this was mostly a joke, but just in case anyone is considering this: Wiccans actually have known doctrine, rituals, etc and will call you out. I've known a few (yes, I made fun of them to their faces).
Now if you claim to be some kind of neo-pagan witch or warlock, that might work
