… he’s got a point

@Typo-MAGAshiv

It's difficult to describe. He's obviously not a bloopie, clearly understands the differences between men and women and why the latter generally shouldn't be in charge of anything other than the children and running the household, but he occasionally says things make it equally clear there's still a foundation of romantic chivalry to his worldview that remains intact despite everything. Again, there's no smoking gun in any particular video to which I can point, it's more something I've put together over years of listening to his content.

That's why I made the comparison to Prager. He's generally correct about most things and, I suspect, rather more "radical" on certain issues than he's allowed to admit to on YouTube, but he still has his blind spots - one or two of which seem to be pretty glaring, given how perceptive he is otherwise.

@woodsmoke I agree with just about everything he said in there, but I agree with you that he let the wife off the hook too easily

The woman even asked "where did I go wrong?" or something like that, which is rare in a woman

He had never struck me as gynocentric before this. Odd

Actually, scratch that, I remembered a decent-ish example from relatively recently.

Gentlemen, behold!

To be sure, the behavior exhibited by the guy in the video is utterly pathetic, but it's the way Carl simply excoriates him without any shred of compassion while simultaneously beatifying "his poor wife" - who, in the news story, is referred to as his "human partner."

They can both be wrong, but Carl simply won't hear of it because there's not video evidence of the woman misbehaving, and his wife isn't like that so obviously this woman wouldn't be either.

@Stigma

I wonder sometimes how much of his "don't rock the boat" attitude stems from not wanting to get demonetized on YouTube again, and whether he may express more radical opinions offline.

Possibly/probably wishful thinking on my part, I'll admit. I just have a hard time accepting someone as intelligent and perceptive as he is can't see the forest for the foreign invasion ushered in and defended by his own traitorous government happily working to see their own people subjugated and replaced "trees."

@Typo-MAGAshiv

I can't point to any particular example, unfortunately, as I don't want to devote several hours to going through all the videos of his I've listened to over the past few weeks to look for time stamps. Suffice to say, he generally cleaves to the tradcon narrative: men need to pick themselves up by their bootstraps and just frame^1 the women into submission then get married and start having babies. He also pretty regularly absolves women of any responsibility for the state of things and just blames it all on weak men.

Granted, credit where it's due, his ignorance seems to largely come from his having done things correctly. He was on mission, pursuing his particular brand of excellence, and along the way his wife pursued him, likely as a direct result of his drive and ambition.

To @Stigma's point, he's often not entirely incorrect in his assessments, he simply doesn't seem to understand or appreciate the extent to which the world has changed, particularly with regard to intersexual dynamics. There's a lot of survivor bias at work in his thought process.

^1 He doesn't frame^2 it that way, of course, but you take my meaning.

^2 Pun fully intended.

In Niddah 44b-45a, the Babylonian Talmud discusses halakhic rules for minors: A girl aged three years and one day can be betrothed through intercourse, which has legal effects like incurring adultery guilt, causing ritual uncleanness, or allowing terumah consumption if married to a priest. Below that age, intercourse is like "putting a finger in the eye"—no lasting halakhic impact, as virginity returns. This reflects ancient Jewish law debates.

@woodsmoke I’m not his biggest fan, but he has enough decent takes to have a listen now and again.

His biggest problem in my eyes is ultimately something he is powerless to change (to an extent). He is diagnosable as having the CivNat milquetoast post-war consensus, an inheritance most Gen X men took on. He still occupies the space in which we can vote our way out of the myriad declines solely from the centrist world view.

As an example, he is at the moment trying to figure out how to reinvigorate his home of Swindon, both economically and demographically. I’ve yet to see any ideas, but I wouldn’t be surprised when he comes out with things like investing in the high streets and giving the youth things to do. He isn’t of the mind to reach for radical options, or to think beyond the failing infrastructure he has inherited.

Now that all sounds very harsh, and I do him a disservice. He remains a subversive voice to the globalist world view, introducing and discussing plenty of angles in which globalist policy and agendas can be countered and challenged. The expectation for me is that the audience develops their own thinking by interacting with him, and further their understanding of the cultural malaise and solutions they think could work.

He’s good for breaking out of the box, but he’s rooted to a country that existed 40 years ago, and even then, wasn’t all that.

@Typo-MAGAshiv He’s got The Pondering as well, I think that’s only when he plays strategy games and muses about history with chat.

@woodsmoke wait, are we talking about the same guy?

He's never struck me as all that gynocentric, though I can't possibly have listened to everything he's ever done on the Lotus Eaters, Sargon of Akkad, and Akkad Daily (dude's prolific!)

Welcome to the 5th Gen Warfare Tribe.

Given that we are experiencing rapid changes in our culture, it made sense to have a place to track the populist movements / battles as they occur, and not necessarily under the banner of politics.

For instance, Gamergate, Occupy Wallstreet, Maga Movement, and now the Wallstreet bets have all been "battles" with something in common: They cross political lines and share a common, populist root.

Here we can talk about the greater culture war and discuss the big picture for players and actions.
