I remember checking the mod cue daily, and saw streams of posts, complaints, and reports. I would crank through as many as I could and they just kept coming. I remember you well there and so many others. It’s a shame so many have fallen off. it was a true community for a long time.

The mod tools are a learning curve to put t mildly - and I happen to be very tech oriented. it’s like its own language. And it is easy to fuck up, as you so aptly showed.

It takes real commitment to do that work, but we had a big impact on the world. I have no doubt about that.

Once reddit started providing post interactions and data, I saw that my posts had collectively millions of views. So when you see 30 updoots, it was something like 50,000 views. That was satisfying. And others there had even more.

All those comments, posts, ideas, philosophy, field reports and more - I now see all over YouTube. I know a lot of men here, fan boy over Rollo Tomassi - who I do like and respect. But lately he is talking as if he himself invented the manosphere. The OG’s go back years before he even came onto the scene. then again, some philosophers predate all this by a few centuries. So we’re all in an eternal stream of consciousness or something like that.

Still, I am glad Rollo and Brian Atlas and others have had such success. Our humble work as mods and content creators have influenced quite a few big names today. They lurked and some have admitted it.

I don’t care about getting credit or notoriety. But I am proud to have been a part of that mod team. There are a lot of super smart mofos here (and on Reddit). Few things are better than interacting meaningfully at a high level with like minded men.

Even if you’re all gay. it’s all good. Your secrets are safe with me!

r/whereareallthegoodmen. And that took a whole team, around the clock to block all the bullshit that came our way - not even counting basic rules violations.

Some of the brigades were almost overwhelming.

I'm glad I found out (through another mod of another sub trying to help me at the mod support subreddit) that you can change certain settings such that unknown commodities wouldn't have their shit show up until a mod approved it, but known users would flee l showup as normal (can't recall what reddit's actual term was, "authorized user" or something like that).

I made that change to the settings to make our jobs easier, and less than a month later theyv permanently suspended you, me, and aldabruzzo within an hour of each other.

At least the guys who are left don't have as rough a time. Making the sub 18+ only keeps it from getting suggested on /r/main or whatever it is, and cuts down on brigades that way too.
