During the majority of our Marriage (approaching 40 years) I have been the primary income and did many household tasks.

I was not going to let my Children go hungry/dirty/whatever in order to one-up my Wife. I regret not pushing back harder then, and now put far less effort into the "Happy Wife, Happy Life" trope. I have come to the conclusion it's more "Happy Wife, less miserable life"...

I will say: I have enjoyed Tim Curry in everything I've ever seen him in ("Muppet Treasure Island" FTW!), and Susan Sarandon was very beautiful when she was young.

As a teen way back in the early 80s, I got really into Rocky Horror for a while, to the point I joined one of those troupes that would dress as the characters and act out scenes as the movie played. (I was Brad FWIW.) My straightlaced Boomer Mom didn't "get" this trending thing and thought the worst of it. Fun fact, instead of "turning me gay" it got me laid with my first GF! Anyway, at one point having seen my fishnet stocking costume, she wailed, "I don't want my SON wearing "nylons" before my DAUGHTER is old enough to!!!11!!"
