@BTrack but doesnt a weighted vest counter your entire point ? I've found a weighted vest to be very beneficial to keeping volume lower. I've been doing calisthenics for over a year now and had better success with muscle gain than when I used free weights. Maybe its error in the workouts I did with free weights but I am curious why my results have been opposite of the recommended from TRP.

My main assumption was that the person who asked the question didn't have access to weights and so was using bodyweight exercises instead. Especially on TRP it's quite common for people who can't afford a gym membership or equipment to ask if they can use bodyweight exercises as a substitute - in which case they probably don't have a belt and weights to add to it.
That being said bodyweight exercises/calisthenics certainly have their place and they can certainly build muscle, it's just that they're not optimal for building muscle.
I suspect it may be error, poor form or something along those lines as to why you didn't have much success with free weight exercises.

@BTrack fair point as the weight vest was $100 and not for beginning exercises.
Last time I did heavy barbell work was pre-trp, diet changes and overall health improvement. So I'm leaning the same way. I'll be moving back to free weights after my current program is done. Will be interesting to compare gains in lifting styles.

@replacemenwithalphas00 great perspective, I forget about the complexity piece. Your example is my current situation and explains alot. I'll add in some barbell exercises this week. Thanks guys. @Btrack
@dropkickPUA the enchridion, discourses or the manual by epictetus (different names for the same material), meditations by marcus aurelius. I'd also recommend how to think like a Roman emperor by Donald robertson. He covers a great amount of depth and understanding of stoicism.
@TacticalNuke how do we view the sidebar on mobile ? Or is that something that's in the works ?
@redpillschool helps if I use more words lol. how do we view sidebar stickied or tribe saved material*. I dont see "tribal texts" or anything that is pinned to a tribe after viewing the sidebar. Are all saved itemsput together under user blogs ? Maybe my phone isnt loading something.
