@Bozza don't lose sight of the vast difference in the experience of men versus women on OLD.
Men such as yourself scroll through the list, send out messages to several women of interest... then have nothing more to do until and unless any of these women make the effort to reply.
Women on the other hand, experience a firehose of attention just by having a profile on the site without having to put in any effort into reaching out make first contact with anyone.
Picture an A list celebrity or Senior politician in some public place, with a gaggle of reporters following them and aggressively trying to get their question even noticed much less answered.
At any given time. Most of the women you are waiting for responses from, have already chosen a prospect from this flood, and are engaging with and trying to catch an ongoing relationship with him. Only after the current prospect plays out, do they go back to the lone waiting for their attention and choose the next best option and start a fresh dating cycle.
It makes sense that among the M-F working population, post weekend days concentrate those whose last weekend fling didn't stick and are now lining up the next prospect.
Before OLD, the cycle time kept a floor around 1 week. Now, that time has gotten reduced to zero for those with the ambition and energy to run this game with several prospects concurrently. Since it's anonymous and independent from IRL social connections, there comes little chance of developing a reputation as Busy Buns.
Read More@Kloi There are good women on OLD. I've met a bunch, I've dated multiple. They're just rare to find.
You're probably right, the best ones probably aren't on OLD. But how do you meet them?
You either luck into a mutual social circle (unlikely), or you bump into them out in the wild (also unlikely).
And when you do meet them, majority of the time they're already taken.
Pure coincidence btw, I’m not saying girls are breaking their necks over me. The manager is mid 30s and just coincidentally asked if I was single about a month ago and I was not real interested so I said I’m seeing someone
@Kloi generally, yes. But I don’t go to bars usually and work during day. Not much opportunity to meet unless I made a conscious effort and I assume there are women equivalent
Very small field update:
Been seeing this baddie that works at the gym, she always checks me out and today she said “you have a doppleganger here” I said “The hot one right?” And she said “Haha yes”
Ran into her leaving the gym and introduced myself, told her I don’t hit on gals while they work but if she wants to take my number she can
She says “Oo let me think about it”
Bitch what?? Her manager was walking in 5 feet away who previously asked me if I was single. Maybe that’s it..
Thoughts?
Started typing out a response and apparently my pocket finished it.
Anyways. Maybe it's just my own warped perception but I feel like the chances of finding a woman on OLD who is physically attractive, passes the vibe check and has LTR qualities is next to impossible.
Any woman that checks all three of those boxes doesn't need to be on OLD and in my opinion to really check the last box would never use OLD.
@MentORPHEUS Possibly. Just something I've noticed that's quite interesting.
Sunday/Monday you get a bunch matches. Not a single one will go anywhere.
Soon as it ticks over to tuesday. Suddenly you get a flood of girls who are all down to arrange dates for wednesday/thursday/friday.
I've noticed this is a recurring theme that happens every week now.
My guess is, the sunday/monday girls are bored and just swiping to kill some time of an evening. The girls who wants to line up dates, start lining them up from tuesday afternoon onwards.

@Vermillion-Rx hmm, they must be training it heavily from right wing message boards. That's the sort of response I get when people on a heavily right wing and MAGA leaning industry forum disagree with me on topics like Trump's foreign policy moves.
Back in the Gulf War and 2007 crash days, you'd clearly recognize the DNA of Rush Limbaugh and Fox personalities on their discourse, which seemed almost civil compared to today's standards.
