Welp, it had to happen eventually. Somebody will want to talk politics so here it is. This is specifically for US Politics
Since I've deepened my study of women and inevitably started looking into psychopaths, I am beginning to change my view on capital punishment, and not consider it entirely out of the question.
The guy, though, seems to be on the autistic, not the psychopathic spectrum. And he practically surrendered. Not a strong opinion, but I think this is not a case for an execution, unless he himself requests it.
I'm not the least bit concerned with preserving that twisted fuck's dignity. If he does get the death penalty I genuinely hope he soils himself in fear as it's happening. Would serve the bastard right.
What's important is the state is seen to be serving justice rather than indulging in vengeance. The method of execution should absolutely be dispassionate, but that doesn't mean I can't hope the murderer breaks and humiliates himself at the end.

@SeasonedRP I'm not an expert, and I haven't fired a rifle or studied ballistics stuff in over a decade, but most rifle bullets follow a wavy path similar to a sinusoidal wave, with an overall drop due to gravity.
His round may have been at one of those high points.
Additionally, and I don't know if this is conclusive, but a lot of people who watched the video of Charlie Kirk getting hit said it looked like the round hit an armor plate under his shirt and bounced up to his neck.
I haven't watched it for myself, and I currently don't plan on ever watching it.

@Typo-MAGAshiv Wouldn't there be a bit of drop, not a lot with a 30.06 at that distance, such that he probably aimed head? I have a 25.06 heavy barrel, and am not a good shot at all, but I could hit anything I want at 200 yards. Little drop but not much.

@MentORPHEUS As I mentioned yesterday, he's into men pretending to be women and a radical leftist. Pointing that out doesn't mean that those with your beliefs are responsible. There is a violence problem on the far left, and it is funded by governments and NGOs. Might not apply to this guy, who knows, but it is a problem.

@First-light my wife has said similar things
It's difficult to make her understand that torture and needless additional suffering just brings us as a society down to the level of the criminals being executed. There's a reason our Fourth Amendment to the Constitution prohibits "cruel and unusual punishment".
Just hang them. It's the most humane execution method ever devised other than the guillotine, which is too messy.
