Every time I go out for food or drinks I can't help but notice the value proposition is quickly vanishing.
We have a few local places in my town that are still good, but overall, everything is getting suckier.
Wife and I went out for Mexican food just yesterday, and while everything was fresh and tasty, the portions seemed slightly smaller (shrinkflation), and there was no longer any guacamole with the entree unless we paid extra. And this isn't even proper guacamole with onions, cilantro, jalapeño, etc but just smashed avocados.
Not as bad as what you complained about or other places we've been to that were noticeably downhill post-scamdemic, but still not as good as it used to be.
The only reason to eat out anymore is when you're just tired of cooking.
