I have self-published two books so far IRL.
I have fodder for a book that is based on my time as a Mod on reddit.
Still thinking about whether it will be worth it or not. It's all about sales once it's written.

I can NOT cold approach a woman.
Anyway, as to how to overcome approach anxiety:
1) the old school PUAs used to tell newbies to go out and get deliberately rejected like 20 times in one night. Turn it into a game. By the time the 20th rejection happens, most dudes realize it's not that big a deal.
2) what worked for me was only approaching when I received IOIs. If a woman made eye contact and smiled, and especially if she preened in any way (like tucking her hair behind her ear, for example) it was on. I did not bother with the women who showed no interest, and if a woman I was talking to started showing signs of disinterest, I'd usually disengage and leave.
Don't make this harder than it actually is. If you've worked in sales, this should be really easy for you.
