I was just reading something about Athens and that before is fell for the last time (lost to Macedonian Empire at its height hey actually put some fight and they lost mainly because "Greek people" didnt unify. Almost a quote: Democrat party wanted to fight (people) but Oligarch parthy not so much and after some skirmishes with Macedonians few wins few loses, they have just gave up.
Anyway although I'm not in favour of lazy people getting benefits from taxes while they could work, taxing oligarchs makes sense.
