Update here for those who are interested: Instead of sharing TRP with my friend I instead shared TRP values with him and he seemed pretty receptive to it! So good outcome came from the conversation. He may end up reaching out to me again but he did thank me for the advice. I wish him the best of luck in his adventures
What was @baron talking about here? www.trp.red/feed/status/213630
Can you explain this coincidence?
Last year, I met a girl who was apparently head over heels for me. We interacted a bit over the phone, set up a date, and then she flaked—acting like nothing happened. After a while, she mentioned that everything about me was "great", except she saw me as a "player." So, we stopped talking.
A month or two later later, I met another girl, same age (21) —a hairdresser. She was obsessed with me, showing it in the most obvious yet childish ways (insecure, I guess). We went on one date, and afterward, she became super clingy—yet whenever I tried to set up another date, she’d dodge making plans while still hovering around my usual spot, trying to weave herself into my daily life (we both had friends at a café I used to frequent, and the girls working there would bring me the gossip about her. she used to work at the hairdresser next door).
I got tired of her games, told her I wasn’t tolerating that BS, and cut her off, I have to admit, harshly. She almost cried. At the same time, I started dating another girl right in front of her (you could see her stomach drop when she saw us together). She changed her work location and when I asked about her sudden disappearance, the gossip was that it was to avoid me.
Now, almost a year later, I’ve run into both of them—twice—and they’re hanging out together! They’ve apparently become friends. Before this, they had zero connection—didn’t know each other, came from totally different worlds, didn’t go to the same school etc.. They just have similar SMV, the same age, and at the same level of mental maturity (not the sharpest tools in the shed).
I’m baffled. How does this even happen?
Read MoreBeing self employed is one of those where the main benefit is also the main con.
As you say, you work for yourself and put in what you get out, so you can earn a lot more money. But, all of the risk falls on you.
If the work dries up, you get sick, take holiday etc. all of that falls on you. You have to sort out your own pension and so on. So even though you earn significantly more money, there's also a lot more overhead as you have to save a lot of money away in the good times to ride you through the bad times.
But yeah bro, go for it. If you can set up your own firm and it's going well already why not grind at it. What exactly have you got to lose?
Grow your fucking gig, develop an SoP and fuck a career.
I fucked off my opportunity last summer, won't let it happen twice. The chains of self employment are loads more comfortable than a career.
It's all fun until you fuck
The chase, the sexual tensions, the sneaking glance, catching her sneaking glances. I'd have to agree, especially when its over the course of a week or two of crossing paths.
Sex is fun, but I miss that connection I suppose.
After awhile of consistently being able to get laid, it's natural progression to up your standards and start looking for longer term partners, even if its just riding out the honey moon phase and sending them back to the abyss.
The sex is better, the dates are more enjoyable, I look forward to our down time together.
Welcome to being a romantic.

I have realised today how much of a scam jobs are.
I'm 24 years old, and I'm self employed. I earn £20k after taxes, I only work for about an hour a day Monday to Sunday.
I'm applying for some accounting jobs, and for £24k salary I have to spend 8 hours of my time.
Keep in mind, that's before taxes, that £24k is going to become about £17k after taxes.
So for less than 2x the income I have to work 8x as hard.
I haven't bothered to apply for jobs because my gigs right now is going so well, but I figured "why not start a career? get into the professional workplace environment?"
I do not want to start a career. I rather become a self-employed tax accountant.
