Fair enough. This may be a matter of semantics.

In my view, this is akin to a prenup. When a man gets married, he does not likely “PLAN” for a divorce. But is that not exactly what a prenup is? A back up plan?

Men have theirs, and women have theirs.

I will never marry again. But if for some reason I were to do so, I would want us to BOTH be equally vulnerable to the other. No backups, no safety nets, no payouts.

This is what has forces people to work things out in the past. Now they no longer have to.

They know. Deep down, they know how they are and how they cannot hold it back forever. So they plan their entire lives as they take their vows in that very church while looking into your eyes, she knows.

I agree 100% with the spirit of what you write. "Know" is a bit of a strong word for women, though.

It's not so conscious - for most of them, at least.

It's more of a complex behaviour that's activated by their natural instincts. They are not really in control. They end up implementing that strategy "following their feelings".
