@CainPrice But let's not inflate the act of growing big muscles to something more than it is. It's an amazing hobby. But growing big muscles isn't your job. It's auxiliary to your job. It's something you do to make you stronger and more disciplined for real things. It is not, itself, a real thing."
Only when something is a job is it a real thing
So it's only real when your being pumped for your surplus values. It's only real when people are making money off of you.
This is a very big yikes from me dog
A city 1000km from Wuhan just declared a full lockdown. This is a lockdown on enter the city. r/China comments
Does anyone want to take a shot at explaining how this new virus will not give China a hard landing?
@VintageNaginta I have no idea how screwed up you were. After the last guy I've given up on trying to figure that out.
Its probably a good strategy to make money efficiently and then to fill in the gaps with lifting (like we do). In the end I see it as a simulation. Simulation doesn't have to mean virtual (and that isn't what I meant). In the modern world its possible to make such a stream lined money making process that there really isn't even a need to put on underwear all day while killing it. Then all of a sudden you have some motivation to do push ups but realize that your dick will be awkwardly and painfully hitting the ground, so you should probably suit up first. In such cases wearing underwear is just pure unrestrained ambition. There isn't much point for the laziest fucks.
Step it up some levels to fully clothed go-getter and even going around taking walks is just to simulate actually needing to go somewhere, because you need to do something that requires getting there. Maybe its just me but its super easy to have life dicked and its just incredibly easy. Its so easy that most of the people who have it as easy as me are in abominable condition. All your calories, information and even women belong to be me (click click click). It can be depressing or funny.Read More
@destraht You take a small pinch and savour it. You revel in having to taint not your lungs with the excessive smoke of poorly processed ditch weed and instead grace them with but a light dusting of combustion byproducts.
Having to use less product to acchieve the desired effects is a no brainer. Its easier on the wallet, it puts less smoke in the lungs (for those who still smoke such as myself) It means my stash lasts longer and my grow room space is not wasted. The flavour is phenonemal when proper care is taken. This is not merely ornamental as the effects of THC, the primary active constituent of cannabis, are modulated in part by the varying levels and presences of a wide range of chemicals called terpenes. Your "neglected ditch weed" has its overall value as a drug, recreational or medicinal, effectively stamped out by inferior processing. Terpenes are aromatic hydrocarbons. If cannabis is not properly dried at a temperature of 16-18 degrees celsius, dropping relative humidity from 70 to 50% over a 14 day period you are literally allowing the value of your product to evaporate.Read More
@destraht Wtf is this "we need simulations of a harder time" nonesense? The simulations distract you from how hard of a time it actually is to just basically live nowadays... The simulations distract you from the real work to be done. The satisfaction they give you is castrative. It is a false satisfaction... It takes more work to support the economic infrastructure that allows labour simulators like video games, or old fashioned crafting, or operating a nonesense ranch thats intended to make a person feel like theyre being productive whilst not actually being productive.
If your work is moving you forward in life, if it is scaling to bigger things and possesses ever more the capacity to scale, if you are struggling properly, that is the stuff out of which life is born. Everything else is a farce. If it takes you all day carrying eggs to be done with your job, and at the end of the day you have enough eggs to pay rent and eat eggs, if you dont one day find a way to increase your capacity to live, then you will continue carrying and eating eggs until you die a boring man.
There are physical labour jobs available for me to work where I live, I was hit by a car travelling 150kmph and require medication to overcome the complications of my resulting condition in order to work. In order to workout I must be medicated. The more I workout, the greater my capacity to work, and exercise, medicated or not.
This means initially I had to invest more time into working to have more medicine to overcome the greater adversity I struggled against 4 years ago. Which meant I also had a diminished capacity, relative to now, to recover and had to also medicate more. Im not simulating anything. To waste time and effort simulating life would be to avoid living it. A lot of old style ranching is largely unnecessary. Lifting so I can increase my capacity to earn and funnel those earnings into my business so I can eventually have to expend less physical energy working and expend it rather actually enjoying and living my life, pursuing greatness... That is the Naginta wayRead More
@VintageNaginta Maan as someone who doesn't smoke often what the hell am I supposed to do with that weed? Its ridiculous. Give me some half-ass outdoor neglected weed over your monstrosity any day. I'm getting high just looking at the photo. Tomorrow is Sunday and I'm thinking about having a coffee. Mmm cauffeee. Well imagine a simple coffee was too grampa for the kids so I had to snort twenty expressos dehydrated down to a powder. So chill the fuck out before that thing mutates and starts attacking people.
@VintageNaginta A non-"lifting" farmer is generally pretty tight unless he just pounds so many beers on top of his heavy meals that he still ends up fat. The real threat is for people like myself who are basically professional brain-in-a-jars doing glorified sodoku puzzles all day. Its absolutely not enough to feel good if I just hop into a car, sit on my ass all day, then hop into a car, then lift weights, then hop into a car again.
Forty five minutes of gym time isn't enough to make me feel good when I'm doing jack shit in all other aspects of my life. When factoring in safety at all hours, Easter Europe is by far my favourite because I can get in an easy half hour of walking on the laziest days. Often times its 90 minutes or more added up. Add in some pushups and stretches on quick computer breaks and no we're talking something approaching a sustainable level of activity.
People who do physical work probably have other problems like not knowing enough, particularly about the wider world. I think that telling a guy who walks around ten hours a day lifting moderately heavy things to LIFT is a ridiculous thing that could only be thought up by people like us who are in situations where life meaning needs to be derived from simulations of harder times.Read More
